The U.S. prosecutor has requested to postpone the hearing of the case of Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, the two Kazakhstan teenagers taken into custody after the Boston Marathon Bombings, Tengrinews reports citing Rapsinews.

Earlier, the Massachusetts Federal Court in Boston scheduled the hearing on the Tazhayakov and Kadyrbayev’s case to start on June 23, 2014. But the prosecutor explained that its key witness in the case would be away from the city on the week of June 24-29. However the prosecutor has not revealed the name of the key witness. The judge has not yet granted the prosecutor's request.

In one of its earlier motions the prosecutor tried to re-schedule the beginning of the trial to as far as January 2015 insisting it was too busy and wouldn't have enough time to study the case's materials otherwise. The court dismissed that motion.

Kadyrbayev, Tazhayakov from Kazakhstan and Robel Phillipos from the United States are charged with impeding the Boston Marathon terrorist attack investigation. Phillipos is also accused of lying to authorities. The first hearing took place in August 2013. Both 19 y.o. Kazakhstan national pleaded not guilty. At the moment, the Kazakhstani students are under arrest in the same cell in Middletown prison, not far from Boston.
