Polish Polpharma to buy Kazakhstan's Khimfarm

Major Polish pharmaceutical concert Polpharma will buy Kazakhstan pharmaceutical company Khimfarm, Tengrinews.kz reports. Representatives of the two companies will sign an agreement to purchase the majority stake of Khimfarm on September 20. The details of the deal are not disclosed yet. Polpharma was established in 1935. It is a major Polish producer of medicines. The company’s products are sold in 50 countries, including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
