Kazakhstan service PRINTOGRAM.me
Kazakhstan service for printing photos from Instagram called Printogram.me made it to the Russian Startup Rating, one of the service’s founder and co-owner of BFF.kz network Ulan Karazhigitov told Tengrinews.kz. The project was launched in October 2012. It is used for printing photos fom Instagram in the form of photographs, polaroids and paintings for interior decorations. “After two months of work we understood which products are most popular and what our users want. We realized that Printogram.me is a necessary service for our region. We have already got some orders from Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Surgut, Milan and many Kazakhstan cities,” Karazhigitov said. Russian Startup Rating is the most influential rating at the territory of CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). Its main objective is to attract investors and give them a chance to find out about the most interesting and promising Internet-projects. Printogram.me was ranked 120 out of 223 projects. The experts gave B index to the service, which means that the startup has a finished product and has started attracting its first clients, however, it does not have high growth of clients and profits. “When we were invited to take part in the rating, we agreed right away and replied to all the organizers’ questions about the service’s current status and its prospects, the number of employees, the investments volume, frequency of mentioning in the media and many other questions. Participation in such rating is a good opportunity for us to compare ourselves to major startups or Russian Internet, see our progress and increase our publicity for investors who are looking for projects in our region,” Karazhigitov added. The project’s founder said that Printogram.me team is currently working on the technical improvement of the service and makes it more user-friendly. Printogram.me will become one of the first Kazakhstan services working at the whole territory of the Customs Union. Earlier Printogram.me was selected for a startup contest of Forbes Russia. The total of 200 applications were submitted for the competition. Only the companies with the finished product or service that started attracting first users or buyers were allowed to participate in the contest. By Dmitriy Khegai
