Tengrinews.kz – Social media posts in Kazakhstan claim Kaspi.kz is updating transaction rules and raising fees linked to its Kaspi Gold card. The bank has issued a statement addressing the reports.
What happened
According to posts shared online, the annual service fee for Kaspi Gold would allegedly rise from 1,995 tenge to 10,000 tenge starting March 31. The same posts also claimed that replacing a card in case of loss, theft or damage — as well as annual service for children’s cards — would cost 10,000 tenge, and that the fee for transfers to other banks and cash withdrawals above the limit would be 5 percent.
Bank’s comment
Kaspi.kz said its tariffs and service terms for clients and partners remain unchanged.
“Information has appeared online about alleged changes to Kaspi.kz tariffs — the cost of annual service and replacement of Kaspi Gold, terms for Kaspi Pay, and the fee for transfers to cards of other banks. This was caused by an incorrect interpretation of an updated legal tariff document, which lists maximum values in accordance with Kazakhstan’s legislation,” the bank said.
Kaspi.kz also stressed it always informs customers in advance about any changes.
