KazAeroNavigation and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) have signed an Agreement on Informational-Managerial Services, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications. “This document will help Kazakhstan enhance the work on bringing Kazakhstan's air companies out of the European Union's blacklist, where they landed in 2009 after an ICAO audit. In line with the Agreement, Kazakhstan will get informational support in creation of an operational structure, training of qualified technical personnel and detailed certification and monitoring,” the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Kazakhstan writes on its website. According to the signed agreement, ICAO’s Bureau of Technical Cooperation will render technical aide to Kazakhstan in ensuring flights securing that will involve hiring of ICAO technical experts. Initially the Ministry planned to take Kazakhstan air companies out of the blacklist in the beginning of 2012.
