Helios is planning to increase the number of fuel station from 250 to 350 by the end of 2012, KazTAG reports citing Helios Marketing and Sales Director Denis Trandofilov. “We want to develop a network of fuel stations to 350 by the end of 2012. Currently we have 250 fuel stations. These are our plans,” Trandofilov told KazTAG. According to him, development of the company should be based on development of Western Europe-Western China highroad. “There is a strategy for Western Europe-Western China. In order to make the network united and attractive, we want to be at every section of this highroad. The plan is to develop infrastructure and transit schemes. This is our strategic goal,” Trandofilov said. He noted that the company’s strategy is aimed at increasing the number of stations to better satisfy the customers. The company is also planning to increase the number of fuel storages. Currently Helios has 26 oil bases including rented ones and over 200 fuel trucks. Usually fuel stations are set every 100 or 200 km on highroads. There should be at least one fuel station in each of the towns. There are many small towns along this highway,” Trandofilov said. The company is also looking for a strategic partner to solve its fuel supplies problem. “We will also be looking for suppliers. We will consider every interesting offer. Our advantages are the vast network and good logistics: storage system, good quality control system, network of fuel stations,” Trandofilov emphasized.
