Fin Air is planning to launch Helsinki-Almaty flight, KazTAG reports citing Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications. According to the message, Kazakhstan Transport Minister Berik Kamaliyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Kazakhstan Mikko Kinnunen on Friday, September 30. Kinnunen talked about future areas of cooperation with Kazakhstan. Finland is interested in development of partnership in power-saving technologies, construction and mining. “Besides, Fin Air is willing to launch a flight between the two countries,” the message states. Kamaliyev noted that the air communications agreement was signed between Kazakhstan and Finland and emphasized that “Kazakhstan party is ready to support the offer of Finnish air company to launch a flight between Helsinki and Almaty.” Besides, Kamaliyev said that Khorgos International Center of Transborder Cooperation is already operating and construction of engineering infrastructure is planned to be completed this year. The Minister offered Finland to take part in construction of terminals at Khorgos for transportation of cargos to Europe.
