Dozens of departures and arrivals have been delayed in Astana and Almaty, a Tengrinews correspondent reports.
14 departures and 6 arrivals have been delayed in Astana Airport. The airport explained that the delays range between 20 minutes and two hours for flights to Kyzylorda, London, Almaty, Abu Dhabi and Frankfurt. Delays on arrivals range between 20 minutes and two hours and 15 minutes: from Kyzylorda (2 flights), Almaty (2 flights) and Ust-Kamenogorsk (2 flights).
Two flights have been canceled: to Frankfurt and Vienna. Most of the flights in Astana airport are delayed due to late arrival of other planes. The flights to Kyzylorda and from Kyzylorda are delayed because of weather conditions.
Almaty Airport is experiencing poor weather conditions. 12 flights are delaying their arrival to Almaty Airport: from Karaganda for a day, from Novosibirsk for almost 20 hours, from Kostanay for 20 hours. In addition, there are delays ranging between half-hour to two hours on arrivals from Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Astana, Kokshetau, Kuala Lumpur, and Tehran.
Departures are delayed on flights from Almaty Airport to Kostanay by 20 hours, to Novosibirsk by 19 hours, to Kyzylorda by 4 hours, to Ust-Kamenogorsk by almost 3 hours, to Moscow by 2 hours, to Tehran by 1 hour 40 minutes. Canceled were the flights to Dubai and Urumqi.
