Arman Kairdenov was appointed new Director General of Atyrau Oil Refinery, the company’s press-service writes. Arman Kairdenov replaced Talgat Baitaziyev who resigned earlier. The former head of the refinery worked in his position from July 2004 to November 19, 2012. Arman Kairdenov was born in Atyrau on April 12, 1971. He graduated from Kazakh Chemical-Technological University in 1993 and the National Economy Academy of Russia’s Government in 2003. We worked in Atyrau Oil Refinery for 13 years in different positions: from operator to deputy head of Capital Projects department. In March 2006 he was transferred to KazMunaiGas and made deputy Director General of Rompetrol refinery in Romania (the subsidiary of KazMunaiGas) in December 2008. In August 2010 he was appointed Director General of Rompetrol Rafinare S.A. According to AkZhaiyk magazine, rumors of Talgat Baitaziyev's resignation had been spreading in the region for several months. The magazine’s sources say that Baitaziyev was “asked” to resign. The magazine writes that the new head of Atyrau refinery earlier took part in modernization of Rompetrol's facilities that enable it to increase its capacity from 3.5 million tons to 5 million tons and switch to production of Euro-5 fuel. “Perhaps, this is the reason why he was appointed director of Atyrau Oil Refinery,” Ak Zhaiyk writes.
