Aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and China have agreed on a direct connection between the two capitals, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications. The agreement was made during negotiations held on May 29 and May 30 in Beijing. Kazakhstan delegation was led by Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications Azat Bekturov. According to him, Air Astana will launch Astana-Beijing flight in the nearest time. “Besides, the frequency of the existing flights will be increased and new connections for Kazakhstan air companies will be added. In particular, the number of flights will reach 35 flights per week in the nearest 2 years. A regional flight from Karaganda to Urumqi will be set up. Almaty-Sanya and Astana-Sanya flights will deliver Kazakhstan tourists to popular Hainan island,” the Ministry’s message states.
