Kazakhstan's blue-chip airlines Air Astana has launched direct flights from Astana to London, Tengrinews reports citing the company's press-service. "The national carrier of Kazakhstan established a new nonstop flight between the capitals of Kazakhstan and the UK on October 31. Boeing 757s will be making the flights," a representative of the company said. According to Air Astana, the new flights will supplement the existing Almaty-London flights and daily flights from Astana to Frankfurt. "Now the flights to London will be made three times a week. Almaty-London-Astana-Almaty flights will be made on Tuesdays, Almaty-Astana-London-Almaty flights will be made on Thursdays and the direct flights Almaty-London-Almaty will be made on Saturdays," the company's representative said. The cost of the economy class return ticket starts from 110 870 tenge ($720), the business class ticket costs from 522 999 tenge ($3400), including taxes. The Astana-London flight will last for 6 hours and 50 minutes and the London-Astana flight will last for 6 hours and 20 minutes.
