The Astana Opera has dedicated the Vsyo o Lubvy (Everything about Love) concert to the Valentine’s Day, Tengrinews reports.
The February 13 concert includes musical pieces from various genres and time periods.
“We are offering the music of Liszt, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Sviridov, Babadzhanyan and Grieg. The concert features musical pieces in different languages, but music does not require a translation. One understands music with the heart, ” the host of the concert Irina Kurguzkina said.
Singers of Astana Opera Aigul Niyazova, Rosa Nurkey, Gulzhanat Sapakova, Beimbet Tanarykov, Narul Toikenov, Zhanat Shybykbayeva, Yeskender Abzhanov, Kazbek Dosmukhambetov and Artur Kaipkulov will present the songs about love on the stage of the Astana opera house. Members of the Orchestra Kalamkas Zhumabayeva (violin) and Stanislav Umarov (clarinet) will also be part of the concert.
Dmitry Kabalevsky’s God Cupid inspired by Shakespeare’s sonnet will be performed by winner of multiple international competitions Kazbek Dosmukhambetov.
“The romance opens the secret origin of love. Cupid is a symbol of love. According to the myth, he intertwines lives of people on a whim. I will also perform Muslim Magomayev’s Blagodarya Tebe (Thanks to You). This famous song has become the singer’s hallmark. I am his big fan. This song is in a way a challenge for me. I want to come close, even if only a little bit, to the performance of the great master,” Dosmukhambetov said.
Tickets for the Vsyo o Lubvy concert are available on the Astana Opera website starting from $8. The concert starts at 7 pm. The Astana Opera theater is situated on Kunayev Street (crossing of Turan Avenue) in Astana.
