Classic versions of Queen and Coldplay songs to be performed in Almaty

A concert called Music Therapy will be held in the Chamber Hall of Zhambyl Kazakhstan State Philharmonic Hall in Almaty on March 20, Tengrinews reports. A Kazakh alumnus of the Royal Music College and Guildhall School of Music and Drama Bulat Tynybekov (cello) and winner of multiple national contests Svetlana Stoyannida (piano) will be the concert's soloists. Beside Bach, Mozart and Schubert, the concert program also includes compositions of famous bands like Queen, Coldplay, Radiohead, composer Klaus Badelt and instrumental duo Daft Punk. Performance of pieces by outstanding Kazakh poet, writer and composer Abai Kunanbayev will be a special feature of the night. Kazakhstan celloist and vocalist Bulat Tynybekov is a winner of international contests in Russia, Turkey and the Czech Republic. He has performed in places like Albert Hall, Barbican Hall and Cadogan Hall in London, Berlin's Konzerthaus, Tonhalle of Zurich and Victoria Hall in Geneva. The Zhambyl Kazakhstan State Philharmonic Hall is located at #35 Kaldayakov Str. at the crossing with Tole bi Str. in Almaty. The concert starts at 7:00 p.m.
