Tengrinews.kz – Iconic pop group Backstreet Boys have shared a special video message with their Kazakhstani fans, ahead of their highly anticipated concerts in Almaty and Astana this September.

In the video, posted on social media, all five members of the legendary boy band greeted their fans in Kazakhstan and expressed excitement about performing in the country for the very first time.

"Hey Kazakhstan! We’re the Backstreet Boys. We’re so excited to be playing our first show in your country. Whenis it guys? We’ve got two concerts – September 19 and 21. Make sure you get your tickets," they announced.

The message sparked a wave of emotions online, with longtime fans expressing joy and disbelief that the group would finally be performing live in Kazakhstan.

"Back in 1999, when I was listening to their cassette tapes on repeat, I never imagined I’d see them live 25 years later," wrote one fan.

"We’ve waited 30 years for this. Tickets are already booked!" added another.

Comments flooded social media with phrases like “Can’t wait to see you in Almaty,” “I’ve waited 26 years for this moment,” and “Thank you for coming to Kazakhstan!”

Backstreet Boys will perform two shows in Kazakhstan this fall — their only appearances in the CIS region. The group will take the stage in their original lineup: Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, and Kevin Richardson.

The first concert will take place on September 19 at the Central Stadium in Almaty, with gates opening at 3:00 p.m. and the show starting at 8:00 p.m. The second performance is scheduled for September 21 at Astana Arena in the capital.

The concerts are not part of a broader tour, making these performances exclusive to Kazakhstan.

Formed in 1993, the Backstreet Boys rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with global hits like "I Want It That Way", "As Long As You Love Me", and "Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)". Known for their blend of pop, R&B, and dance, the group became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. Despite breaks in their career, they continue to perform and record, drawing massive crowds worldwide.

By the way, American pop diva Jennifer Lopez is also set to perform in Kazakhstan. Her first concert will take place tonight in Astana, where she has already arrived, and the second show is scheduled for August 10 in Almaty. More details are available here.
