World famous violinist from Kazakhstan Galya Bisengalieva brings Notes from London concert to Almaty on May 13, Tengrinews reports.

Talented violin Kazakh player Bisengalieva along with James Kirby presents the music of classics Bach, Chopin, Schnittke and Lutosławski on the stage of Zhambul’s Philharmonic Hall.

Kirby is the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory graduate currently teaching at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and Royal Holloway. He is a member of Rakhmaninov’s Society in Russia.

Galya Bisengalieva graduated from the Royal Academy of Music under Gyorgy Pauk with First Class Honours in 2009 and from the Royal College of Music with Distinction under Yossi Zivoni in 2011.

Galya has appeared as soloist with orchestras in Europe, Asia and most recently in South America, culminating in a sell out performance of Bruch’s Violin Concerto in Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires for which she was nominated for the Revelación Award by the Music Critics Association of Argentina. Her concerto performances include Barber, Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Bernstein and Korngold. Galya has held a post of Soloist with the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra since 2010.

Kazakh National State Zhambyl Philharmonic Hall is situated at the crossing of Kadlayakov and Tole Bi streets in Almaty. Tickets can be purchased at the booking office of the concert hall.
