Tengri FM radio station has opened the 6th season of Na Vershine Tengri, a festival of rock music. This year, the organizers decided to sum up previous five seasons and to prepare a Live performance of all participants, Tengrinews reports citing the music editor of Tengri FM Konstantin Golovin.
“During the previous five seasons we had large scale yet single concerts. Now we are happy to announce the opening of the 6th season of the national rock campaign Na Vershine Tengri. We decided to see how the bands we worked with have developed so far. Since the beginning of the project over 300 bands joined the projects and brought us around 3000 songs. (…) The concerts during the 6th season would allow musicians to get to know each other, as well as, give an opportunity to have a centralized and integrative experience of listening to the bands live,” Golovin said.
Throughout the Fall, rock bands from all around Kazakhstan will be gathering in Almaty. Concerts will be taking place in several sessions at the Event City Hall on 20 Kazybek Bi street, (crossing of Kaldayakov street). The jury will pick bands for the final concert of the month. The lucky bands will perform at the final concerts along with the headliners of the project. Hadn’t tea, Nourba Group and Pa Kampasam bands performed at the first session on September 6. The second session of September was held on September 13. And third one will take place on September 20 at 8 p.m., the tickets are at $6. Gleb Samoilov, the former member of the legendary Russian band Agata Kristy will perform at the final session on September 28 along with three other bands.
“Young bands need this opportunity to communicate with legends of rock music and learn from them. It is primarily passing down the knowledge as young bands perform on the same stage as acclaimed bands, have backstage talks and see how they conduct sound checks. All of it is beneficial,” Golovin said.
The winners of each month will perform at the biggest rock concert in Almaty in December. This final concert will determine the band that will represent Kazakhstan at one of major Russian rock festival in Summer 2015. The participants of the project will receive gifts from the sponsors. The jury will also choose a band that will have a free studio recording.
