The 5th Orchestra Parade will be held from September 9 to 11 at the summer amphitheater of the Central Park of Culture and Recreation in Almaty, Tengrinews reports.
On the first day of the Orchestra Parade, the Symphony Orchestra directed by Alexander Belyakov will perform classical pieces. The singers from Quatro band will be the special guests of the night. On the 10th of September, musical pieces written by a Kazakh poet and composer Abai and Kazakh composer Nurgisa Tlendiev will be presented by the Kazakh Folk and Ethnographic Orchestra Otyrar Sazy after Tlendiev. The ethnic orchestra will also perform pieces by Giuseppe Verdi, Georges Bizet, Edvard Grieg and Aram Khachaturyan.
On the final day, September 11, the Orchestra Parade will bring famous pieces from musicals like Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Juno and Avos, Chicago and Les Miserables performed by the State Brass Band.
The Orchestra Parade is one of many venues that open throughout September to celebrate the birthday of Almaty.
