Toyota announces the winners of the 6th regional professional skills competition: Toyota Motor Kazakhstan Skills Grand Prix 2025.
The competition has been held among employees of the company’s official dealer centers worldwide for many years and is a vivid expression of Toyota’s core philosophy – “Customer first”.
The regional professional skills and service quality competition for Toyota and Lexus dealer network specialists in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was held for the sixth time and traditionally consisted of two stages. The first, qualifying stage was organized within the dealer centers in the format of online testing. This year, it began in August and attracted over 100 dealership employees from the region. The second, final stage was held in person in Almaty at the Toyota Academy, where special zones were set up for participants to showcase their skills. The final took place on October 7–9, 2025, with 28 top specialists from various cities competing.
The main goals of the competition are to evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s unique training programs for Toyota and Lexus dealership employees – from basic to advanced levels-and to spread best practices in customer service across the dealer network.
For participants, the competition fosters healthy competition, increases motivation for professional growth, helps find new solutions, and improves work quality.
“Through this competition, we aim to raise awareness among dealership managers about the importance of providing high-quality customer service. This is achieved by improving employees’ knowledge and skills. The competition allows us to determine their level of training and identify areas for professional growth. This is very important for the company to understand which direction to move in, as customers change and technology does not stand still,” said Vitaliy Venchakov, General Manager of Toyota Distribution Center, Toyota Academy, and Toyota Technical Department.

The competition continues to gain momentum. Not only is the number of participants growing year after year, but also the number of categories: while the national competition originally started with just one category, this year company specialists competed in five.

One of the oldest categories in the region, traditionally attracting the largest number of participants. Contestants demonstrated professionalism in vehicle diagnostics and repair: in-depth knowledge of vehicle design and technical features, adherence to repair technologies and processes, knowledge of spare parts and materials, and even physical endurance. Equally important was showcasing customer communication skills: polite and courteous interaction, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising the high-quality standards of the Toyota and Lexus brands.
