The second Summer Drive Auto Festival, the most large-scale car event was held at APORT shopping mall parking lot on June 3 in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports. More than one thousand different cars from tuning sport cars to lifted off-roaders were presented at the large-scale openair event. The Festival started at 11:00 am, but a heavy rain has changed the program of the Festival. Cheerleaders performed first opening the event. Their lively dances with elements of acrobatics and bright dresses helped disperse the sullen mood of the audience. 18 Almaty Auto Clubs gathered at the site. They were Subaru Club Almaty, Camry Club Almaty, Pajero Club and others. Apart from them vintage cars lovers, sports cars, new cars and all-terrain vehicles (ATV) owners participated in the Festival. Car owners demonstrated all the advantages of their cars, including their unusual color, pictures, tuning and powerful audio systems. Professional competitions in autotuning, auto sound, art of aerography and a comic tournament of car pushing and driving in supermarket trolleys in helmets were held during the Festival. ATV show and car drift were among the most spectacular moments of the Festival. Drivers also demonstrated their skills in two wheels driving and skidding. Radio Control Drift team attracted attention of the public by their performance. Small replicas of sports cars with remote control were driving at a special road in paired and single heats. The small replicas showed the driving in controlled skidding as well. All the participants of the Festival got prizes from sponsors, and winner Auto Clubs got awards and prizes. EMMA-Kazakhstan, idrive.kz and vse.kz organized the event.
