Lada Granta to be sold in Kazakhstan in H2 2012

Lada Granta will appear in Kazakhstan in the second half of 2012, Lafa Auto writes. Residents of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Ukraine will be the first buyers of the car. Economy model Lada Grant is manufactured based on Lada Kalina, however, it contains around 400 original parts, as well as modernized front and back suspensions and a new engine. Official sales of Lada Granta in Russia started on December 1, 2011. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that president of AVTOVAZ Igor Komarov signed a memorandum on strategic partnership with ASIA AVTO and ERTIS national company. AVTOVAZ will start producing several new models on a global Renault-Nissan-AVTOVAZ platform. Launch of the first stage of production (90 thousand cars per year) is scheduled for 2015, while the second stage (additional 30 thousand cars per year) will be launched in 2017.
