Kazakhstan road police commission has announced the rates for prestigious plate numbers, Tengrinews.kz reports citing head of registration-examination department of the road police commission of Kazakhstan Interior Ministry. “We suggested the tariffs for the plate numbers that stand out: We have divided them into two categories: special numbers and those of high demand. We have set the fixed rates for these categories ranging from $1,500 to $2,500,” Bakhytzhan Baltashev said. According to him, this regulation has been included into the draft law On Road Traffic that is already being reviewed by the government. According to Bakhytzhan Baltashev, special plate numbers are 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 006, 007, 008, 009. Plate numbers of high-demand are as follows: 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 and 111, 222, 333, 444, 555, 666, 777, 888, 999. The tariffs have been set for the total of 27 plate numbers.
