A former British Formula One racer David Coulthard will drive Red Bull's RB7 Formula 1 car in Almaty. The Republic Square in Almaty will be closed for traffic on June 1 for the Reb Bull event, Tengrinews reports.
A former British Formula One racer David Coulthard will drive Red Bull's RB7 Formula 1 car in Almaty. The Republic Square in Almaty will be closed for traffic on June 1 for the Reb Bull event, Tengrinews reports.
The racer will have a demo race on a custom 1km-long track layout that stretches from Zheltoksan street to Dostyk street in the city.
Besides Coulthard, Ukrainian champion Alexander Gritchuk and a stunt-riding team will showcase drift-driving techniques on the square in Almaty.
The event is the first of its kind in Central Asia. But Red Bull held simiar shows in cities across the globe before. The organizers are hoping for over 50 thousand viewers to come to the event. They promise a real deal adrenaline rush and high security.
