Tengrinews.kz - In the Abai and Zhetysu regions, sections of roads were closed due to a severe snowstorm, according to QazAvtoZhol.
From 1:30 PM on January 30 in the Abai region, due to worsening weather conditions (wind, snowstorm, limited visibility), traffic restrictions are introduced for all types of transport on the section of the Almaty - Taldykorgan - Ust-Kamenogorsk - Shemonaikha - border of the Russian Federation highway from the 778th to the 967th kilometer (from the city of Ayagoz to the village of Kalbatau).
Earlier, this road was also closed on other sections in two regions:
- in the Abai region, 615-768th kilometers (from the border of the Zhetysu region to the city of Ayagoz);
- in the Zhetysu region, 557-615th kilometers (from the city of Usharal to the border of the Abai region).
The Taskesken - Bakhty highway, 0-75th kilometers (from the village of Taskesken to the village of Urzhar) in the region also remains closed. Abay.
The estimated time of resumption of traffic is 6 PM on January 30.
