Tengrinews.kz - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un delivered a keynote speech at a rare meeting of battalion commanders and political instructors, the first of its kind in a decade.
In his address, Kim highlighted what he described as the threatening military posture of the U.S., South Korea, and other hostile forces, which he said has led to an unprecedented level of tension on the Korean Peninsula.
Kim called on all branches of the military to focus on war preparedness to meet the challenges posed by what he referred to as revolutionary and historical demands.
"Comrade Kim Jong Un emphasized the importance of thorough battalion-level preparation and the critical role of battalion commanders and political instructors in accelerating the nation’s political and military buildup. This is essential for ensuring that the regular armed forces and all other national forces are ready for war," stated the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Kim also accused the West, particularly the U.S., of using Ukraine as a "forward strike unit" in its conflict with Russia. He argued that this strategy aims to gain combat experience and expand the scope of military intervention.
