Famous Kazakh actor Murat Bissenbin passes away

Tengrinews.kz – The daughter of well-known Kazakhstani actor Murat Bissenbin has announced his death. The message was published on social media.

Details surrounding his death and the exact cause have not yet been disclosed.

News of the actor’s passing emerged several weeks after reports of his hospitalization. Earlier, his daughter Diana Bulatova said that Murat Bissenbin had been under medical supervision following a stroke and shared photos from the hospital. The family thanked everyone for the support, prayers and kind words they received from across Kazakhstan and abroad.

The news of Bissenbin’s death prompted a strong reaction on social media. Colleagues, friends and viewers expressed condolences to the actor’s family, remembering him as a strong, charismatic and truly people’s artist. In September last year it became known that the actor had been diagnosed with cancer. He later said doctors had found pancreatic cancer.

“I was told it was inoperable. The diagnosis was made three and a half months ago. At first, I simply went to the hospital, thinking it was some kind of infection because I had vomiting. Then I realized something was wrong. I turned completely yellow. After that, I was transferred to the Syzganov National Scientific Center of Surgery, because a biopsy confirmed a malignant diagnosis,” Bissenbin told a Tengrinews.kz journalist.

He underwent several courses of chemotherapy at a local oncology center. Friends later advised him to continue treatment abroad.

“We are currently looking for a clinic and a country. I completed four courses of chemotherapy here at our oncology center. But in any case, rehabilitation is at my own expense – I buy Heptral and other medications. I can’t name an exact amount yet. We checked in Turkey – it’s about $20,000 per course of treatment, not including accommodation, flights and assistance,” the actor said.

Due to health problems, Bissenbin had to withdraw from some projects and suspend filming on others. He said he was supported by his family, friends and colleagues from the film Racketeer.

The actor was married and raised three children.

Murat Bissenbin was born on October 11, 1972. He was a native of Kyzylorda and graduated from a polytechnic institute with a degree in agricultural mechanical engineering. He rose to fame after playing Ruslan in the film Racketeer.

His filmography includes roles in Tomiris, The Whole World at Our Feet, A Tale of the Pink Hare, Brothers, Who Are You, Mr. K? and other films.
