Tengrinews.kz - A three-year-old boy from Rudniy swallowed 10 magnets and was taken to the Kostanay Regional Children's Hospital, where he later died. A month later, a criminal case was opened against the doctors. This was reported on Facebook by lawyer Damir Hamitov, who is handling the case.

The police now have every reason to begin a pre-trial investigation, he noted.

"We managed to register a criminal case in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 317, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, at the Northern Police Department of Kostanay against the doctors for the death of little Sasha, who swallowed 10 magnets. The investigation will now focus on the doctors who provided inadequate medical care, based on the forensic medical examination and the conclusion of the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control. Those responsible must be held accountable for the child's death!" the lawyer wrote.

Hamitov reported that the Department of Medical and pharmaceutical control Committee conducted an investigation into the child's death and found that medical assistance was provided in violation of clinical protocols for diagnosing and treating "foreign body in the esophagus in children," "sepsis," and "peritonitis."

Recall, a boy from Rudniy swallowed 10 magnets and was taken to the Kostanay Regional Children's Hospital, where he later passed away.
