Sean "Diddy" Combs will face a federal trial on charges of human trafficking for sexual exploitation and racketeering, which will commence on May 5, 2025.
This decision was made on October 10 by a U.S. judge during the hip-hop mogul's third court appearance since his arrest in September.
The 54-year-old Combs pleaded not guilty on September 17 to charges, including using his business empire, including the famous Bad Boy Entertainment label, to transport sex industry workers across state lines for participation in so-called Freak Offs - recorded sexual shows featuring both men and women.
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian set the trial date during a hearing in federal court in Manhattan.
Recall, on September 17, P.Diddy was arrested in a New York court after jurors presented him with charges of violence and human trafficking. These allegations cover the last 16 years of his career and are connected to the organization of so-called freak-off parties, elite events allegedly designed for the sexual exploitation of women.
Since his arrest, Combs has remained in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting a decision on his appeal for bail release. The rapper and producer faces life imprisonment as well as a minimum of 15 years in prison if convicted on charges of conspiracy to commit extortion, human trafficking for sexual exploitation, and transportation for participation in illegal activities.
