This was announced by the Head of State’s adviser and press secretary, Aibek Smadiyar, on his Telegram channel.

“This agreement became possible thanks to the goodwill and wisdom of U.S. President Donald Trump, the top leadership of Iran, and all countries involved in the military conflict. The Head of our State expressed hope that the reached ceasefire agreement will be long-term, with the aim of promoting global trade and the economic prosperity of all nations,” Smadiyarov explained.

It should be recalled that Trump agreed to suspend strikes on Iran for two weeks after an appeal from the Pakistani prime minister. According to the U.S. leader, this would be a bilateral ceasefire. The White House chief stated that Washington had received a 10-point proposal from Tehran and considers it “a working basis for negotiations.”

Iran, for its part, reported its readiness to ensure the opening of the Strait of Hormuz for the duration of a two-week truce with the United States.
