Tengrinews.kz – The snow leopard logo will become a national symbol of Kyrgyzstan and will be used at the state level, according to Erkinbek Mamaev, head of the wildlife department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan, citing AKIpress.
A draft resolution titled “On recognizing the snow leopard as a national symbol of the Kyrgyz Republic” was previously submitted for public discussion.
According to the draft, the logo was developed to establish the snow leopard’s status as a symbol of national nature and culture and to define guidelines for its official use.
The Ministry of Natural Resources noted that adopting this document would enhance Kyrgyzstan’s image as a country committed to conservation and the protection of unique wildlife species.
Mamaev explained that the design team originally created five versions of the snow leopard logo. After presenting them to the Presidential Administration, three were shortlisted. These were revised, and one final version was approved. A procedure for its official use has also been developed.
“This logo will serve as a symbol of the nation and will be used at all official events in the country,” Mamaev said.

He also mentioned that the logo may appear on aircraft fuselages, on banners at official meetings, and on commemorative merchandise.
