Tengrinews.kz – Famous rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 along with P. Diddy Sean Combs. It allegedly happened at a party after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York. Jay-Z called the charges "idiotic," according to NBC News.
The lawsuit against Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was filed by a lawyer on behalf of a woman who wishes to remain anonymous. She claimed that in 2000, when she was 13, Combs (P. Diddy) and Carter raped her at a house party after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City.
The suit says she didn't have a ticket to the ceremony and approached limo drivers to try to get into the show or the after-party. One of the drivers, she says, told her he worked for Combs and that she "fit the bill for what Diddy was looking for." He invited her to the after-party.
At the house, she had to sign a document to get into the party. She believed it was a non-disclosure agreement. She was not given a copy of the document. According to the woman, the house was full of celebrities and people who used marijuana and cocaine. Carter issued a lengthy statement on Sunday evening.
"These accusations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,” Carter responded to an NBC News request.
Recall: Rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs was indicted on racketeering, sex trafficking and other charges in September and is currently behind bars. He was denied bail for the third time last month. His trial is set for May 5.
