Tengrinews.kz - The scandalously famous American rapper Sean Combs, better known by his stage name P. Diddy, has filed a defamation lawsuit for 50 million dollars. He estimates that amount as the economic and reputational damage caused to him.
According to People, the musician filed the lawsuit against Courtney Burgess, attorney Ariel Mitchell, and Nextstar Media Group, the parent company of the television network NewsNation.
In the rapper's lawyers' opinion, the defendants deliberately fabricated and amplified false statements about the rapper for financial gain. The complaint specifies that such statements caused economic and reputational harm to Combs.
Currently, 55-year-old P. Diddy is being held at the Brooklyn Detention Center awaiting trial, though he denies all accusations. It is worth mentioning that the rapper is accused of pedophilia and organizing prostitution, with many celebrities allegedly among his "clients."
