As a result of the crash, two pilots lost their lives.

The country's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) stated that its aviation accident investigation department received a report about the incident, indicating that working groups and relevant authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the causes of the accident.

Earlier, the deadliest aviation disaster in South Korea's history occurred.

A Boeing 737-800 from Jeju Air, operating a flight from Bangkok to Muan in South Korea, crashed on December 29 during landing at Muan Airport. The plane overshot the runway and crashed into a fence. A fire broke out. The bodies of all 179 victims have already been found.
