Israeli military operation in Lebanon: situation update

The operation is named "Northern Arrows." This announcement was made on the IDF Telegram channel.
"These targets are located in villages close to the border and pose an immediate threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel," the statement said.
According to DH, the invading forces consist of small commando groups. If necessary, larger contingents that have been concentrated near the Lebanese border in recent days may be deployed into Lebanon.
The IDF noted that ground forces are supporting the air force and artillery.
The operation plan was approved at a meeting of the Israeli government on the evening of September 30.
As of now, it has been reported that Israel struck the Ein al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon, resulting in five deaths and dozens of injuries.
Precision strikes were also carried out against military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in the Lebanese capital.
"With the direction of IDF intelligence, the IAF conducted precise strikes on several weapons manufacturing facilities and additional Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the Dahieh area of Beirut," the army's press service stated.
Earlier, on the night of Tuesday, the Israeli army launched a ground operation in southern Lebanon amidst intense air raids and tank shelling of southern areas.
