Tengrinews.kz – Media outlets have circulated information claiming that the cost of an entry visa to Egypt has increased. In response, the country’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities issued a statement.
Earlier, some media reported that the price of an Egyptian entry visa had risen from 25 to 45 dollars due to legislative changes.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (of Egypt) announce that this information is completely distorted, and no executive decisions have been made to increase the entry visa cost for Egypt. At present, only a decision on the maximum possible cost of an entry visa has been approved, not the application of this maximum,” the Ministry’s statement said.
The ministry recommended verifying the reliability of information and contacting government authorities for clarification if any questions arise.
