Legendary skater Sandro Dias, known as Mineirinho, made history at 50 years old by breaking two Guinness World Records.

On the façade of the 22-story Centro Administrativo Fernando Ferrari (CAFF) building in Porto Alegre, Brazil, he completed a descent on the world’s tallest temporary quarter pipe, standing 60 meters high, reaching a speed of 103.8 kilometers per hour.

During training, Dias performed four flawless runs from a platform at 70 meters, enduring significant G-forces. His preparation included workouts with a 40-kilogram weighted vest and asphalt tests, where he accelerated to 136 km/h.

Who is Sandro Dias?

Sandro Dias is a six-time world champion in vertical skateboarding, who began skating at age 11 in Curitiba, Brazil, and gained fame for his mastery of complex tricks.

Today, Dias is involved in charitable work and supports youth from underprivileged communities, inspiring a new generation of skateboarders.

Earlier, Japanese athlete Ryusei Yone entered the Guinness Book of Records after running 100 meters in 14.55 seconds - on all fours.
