Turkey supports Kazakhstan’s policy calling it the foundation of stability and accord, Turkish election observers are quoted by Tengrinews.kz as saying. “Kazakhstan is one of the important states for Turkey both politically and culturally, observer of Sabah newspaper Kursad Zorlu said. “That is why stability in Kazakhstan is important not just for the country itself, but also for the whole Central Asia. The presidential elections will facilitate further development of your country.” He said that the Turkish delegations visited several polling stations in the morning and saw that the population was actively involved in the presidential elections. Secretary General of Turkey’s Human Rights Association Ayfer Isik Aksu thanked Kazakh citizens for a warm welcome and said that she used to live in Kazakhstan between 1994 and 2000 and is glad to be back to the brotherly country. “I have witnessed the economic transformations of those years and I am glad to be here in this country on this important occasion,” she said. “The situation is stable here. And in spite of the rain and snow people are eager to go vote,” she said.
