Nazarbayev addresses to Kazakhstan following his inauguration

Following the inauguration, President Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed to Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz journalist reports. In his inauguration speech, President Nazarbayev pledged to proceed with democratization. “We need solutions to vest the Parliament with wider powers, make the Government more accountable to people (…)”, he said. “Kazakhstan should lay foundation for the people’s capitalism… The first stage would be People’s IPOs. This will widen prospects of the middle class and its interest in further growth of the country”, President Nazarbayev said. “Today we are approaching the goal of joining the club of 50 most developed nations. By some indicators we are among these 50. For instance, in terms of international reserves (…) the figure now stands at $ 69 billion”, the President said. “We have been rendering support to entrepreneurs. We expect the share of S&MBs; to reach at least 40%. We have all the preconditions to boost competitive edge of entrepreneurs and raise labour efficiency”, Interfax – Kazakhstan quoted N. Nazarbayev as saying. He reiterated his commitment to Kazakhstan and the people. According to him, he is overwhelmed with joy because his people have so much confidence in him. “I am grateful (…) to be the first leader of the nation”, N. Nazarbayev said.
