Astana: Kazakhstan is ready for fair elections

All the conditions have been provided for presidential elections observers in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. On April 1 Kazakhstan Secretary of State - Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev held a meeting with CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) Executive Secretary – Chairman of the Executive Commission, head of CIS observers’ mission Sergei Lebedev. Kanat Saudabayev showed Sergei Lebedev the elections preparations process and talked about the country’s preparedness for open, transparent and fair voting. “We are interested in very active and effective work of international observers who have been provided with all the necessary conditions,” said Kanat Saudabayev. The meeting also touched upon partnership under the CIS integration associations. Kanat Saudabayev once again reiterated Kazakhstan’s commitment to further development in this area. Kanat Saudabayev pointed out the efficiency of the CIS working principle based on One Year – One Topic formula that was initiated by Nursultan Nazarbayev.
