150 political scientists to discuss the elections

Political scientists will assemble in Kazakhstan 20 days before the presidential elections. The Eurasian Congress of Political Scientists will take place in Almaty on March 14-15. 150 experts in state structure and political processes from various countries of the world are expected to arrive. Non-CIS states will be represented by political scientists from South Korea, Germany, Poland, Turkey and Israel. But the core of the assembly will be made up of the CIS panelists, since the congress is called Post-soviet Transit: Trends, Myths and Prospects. Top Kazakh political scientists have also confirmed their participation in the event, Tengrinews.kz reports. The congress will be divided into four sections. In the first section expects will be exchanging opinions of methods of effective studying of post-soviet political systems. In the second sections they will be discussing specific features of statehood building in the post-soviet space. The remaining two sections will be dedicated to geopolitical development scenarios and elections on the post-soviet space, including the presidential elections due on April 3 in Kazakhstan.
