Six complaints were submitted in the Southern District of New York on behalf of four men and two women, whose names remain confidential. The incidents described in the lawsuits span from 1995 to 2021 and include accusations of sexual assault and rape.
One of the women, who was a 19-year-old college student in 2004, alleges that Combs raped her in a Manhattan hotel room.
“All of the alleged incidents occurred in New York City or the Hamptons, according to the suits. Two of the lawsuits include incidents alleged to have happened at Combs’ lavish Labor Day “White Parties” at his Hamptons property,” the article states.
The lawsuits were filed by attorney Tony Buzbee, who previously announced he would be representing the victims.
“We’re going to just try to file cases that we feel are credible and legitimate," Buzbee said.
Combs and his companies are named as defendants, and the plaintiffs are seeking compensation.
Media outlets reached out to Combs' legal team for comments. Through his lawyers, Combs denied all civil and criminal charges, calling them “sickening” and claiming they are driven by attempts for a “quick payday.”
“The oldest of the allegations comes from a woman who alleges she was assaulted and raped by Combs in a bathroom in 1995 when she attended a music video release party, court documents allege. At least two of the lawsuits contain allegations that accusers' drinks were spiked with drugs making it hard to fight back during alleged sexual assaults,” the article states.
In another case from 2006, one of the plaintiffs, who worked for a security company, claims he was sexually assaulted by Combs at one of his “White Parties” in the Hamptons. He reported the incident to his supervisor afterward, as outlined in the court documents.
Another lawsuit alleges that in 2008, Combs physically and sexually assaulted an employee of a well-known clothing brand in a Manhattan department store. The man, who lost his job shortly after the incident, reported it to the store’s security team.
The most recent allegation stems from a 2021 incident in which a plaintiff claims he felt disoriented after consuming a drink at a party and was subsequently sexually assaulted by Combs and other unidentified men.
