A terrorism threat will remain and grow in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports from the conference called Consolidation of the community and the state in countering terrorism: new approaches and principles in Astana. “International and local experts state that the terrorism threat will be a long-term one and a tendency for its further growth will remain,” head of Anti-terrorist Center of Kazakhstan National Security Commission said. Deputy head of anti-extremism department of the criminal police commission of Kazakhstan Interior Department stated that 15 criminal cases were initiated this year against those inspiring inter-ethnic and inter-religious grudge and hatred. “137 facts of storage and withdrawal of disruptive religious and extremist literature, audio and video records were registered last year.
