The International Women’s Day on March 8 traditionally makes gentlemen get their wallets and credit cards ready. TengrinewsTV reporters visited a local flower shop to learn that the heartwarming bouquets are made with flowers from all over the world. Freshly cut flowers are brought to Kazakhstan from major flower hubs in the Netherlands, Columbia and Ecuador. In addition to classic roses, lilies and chrysanthemums the shops sell exotic flowers from counties like Latin America. For example there are Eryngium flowers that look like little blue hedgehogs. But traditionally tulip are the main symbols of spring an spring holidays in Kazakhstan. It is the most popular present on the Women’s day. The prices, the most sensitive issue of the day, will remain the same the flower shop sellers assure.
