Student, parents speak about explosion in Almaty college
A grenade explosion during basic military training class in the College of Fashion and Design in Almaty, Kazakhstan killed one and injured 12 on November 17. Police arrested the 47-y.o. teacher pressing charges on Illegal ammunition possession and murder by negligence. Many believe he is guilty. But there are also people maintaining his innocence. His student Marzhan Adilbek is one of them. She was in the classroom when the explosion killed her classmate. She recalls her experience in this interview.
Police also arrested the teacher who worked at the college earlier. He is believed to be the one who brought the combat RGD-5 grenade into the classroom and left it in the school cabinet.
