Certification of cattle started in Aktau, Tengrinews.kz reports citing deputy Akim (mayor) of Aktau Marat Moldagulov. As per Moldagulov, certification started under the government decree in 2011. Other pets will have to be certified in 2012. “As per the world experience, all pets have to be identified and have a passport. Kazakhstan is also taking measures to improve the pets database. Every owner will have a passport for each pet,” said Moldagulov. Under a new procedure of certification and identification, the owners will bear responsibility for their pets care.
