Tengrinews.kz - A mysterious spherical object was captured over the Hudson River in New York, sparking intense debate and intrigue among conspiracy enthusiasts. The footage was aired by Fox 5 News on November 18, according to Daily Mail.

The glowing orb was filmed from a helicopter as it rapidly moved out of Hoboken, New Jersey, toward the World Trade Center, where it seemingly disappeared.

This sighting has led some New Yorkers to wonder if extraterrestrial life is hiding among us, especially since the Pentagon recently reported a near collision between a commercial airliner and an unidentified object near the city.

If the object captured on video was indeed unidentified, it would have been traveling at an estimated 4300 km/h, covering 5 kilometers in just four seconds. The only comparable real-world counterpart is the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a supersonic jet capable of reaching speeds up to 3500 km/h.

Experts have proposed various theories about the mysterious orb. Some suggested it could be an optical illusion caused by the helicopter’s glass, while others speculated it might be an out-of-focus bird.

"I initially thought it might be a bird out of focus, but toward the end, the object appears transparent, suggesting light refraction rather than a solid body," said Enigma Lab's UAP advisor Alejandro Rojas.

Avi Loeb, a physicist from Harvard, said that the orb might be explained by a bright spot caused by sunlight reflecting as the camera shifted its position relative to the sun and ground.

Earlier, commercial pilots captured an unusual phenomenon in the night sky while flying a Boeing 747 passenger jet over Egypt.
