World Cup in Singapore began with Kazakhstan’s record

Tengrinews.kz - The third stage of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024 started in Singapore. The national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan is represented in Singapore by nine athletes.
The competition will be held from October 31 to November 2. The World Cup swimming races are held in a 25-meter pool, and the winners will be determined based on the results of the teams' performance in all three stages. Nine Kazakh athletes will compete in 28 disciplines.
On the first day of the competition, Kazakhstani Balabek Galymzhan, a representative of the Zhambyl region, set a new record for the Republic of Kazakhstan in the 400-meter freestyle, covering the distance in 3 minutes 47.52 seconds, taking the final 10th place.
On the first day of the cup, Almaty resident Yegor Popov took fifth place in the final swim, covering the 200-meter backstroke in 1 minute 55.49 seconds.
The rest of the Kazakhstan team showed the following results:
- Ignatova Xeniya, 50-meter backstroke - 0:27.99 (10th place)
- Skazobtsov Maxim, 100-meter butterfly - 0:50.91 (10th place)
- Mussin Adilbek, 100-meter butterfly - 0:51.69 (15th place)
- Cherepanov Daniil, 50-meter freestyle - 0:22.43 (17th place)
- Bibulayev Yelaman, 50-meter freestyle - 0:22.96 (25th place)
- Ignatova Xeniya, 100-meter individual medley - 1:03.26 (15th place)
- Spodarenko Sofia, 100m medley swimming – 1:03.80 (17th place)
- Mussin Adilbek, 100m medley swimming – 0:56.18 (20th place).
Kazakhstan Swimming Sports Federation is a public organization, the governing body for all water sports in Kazakhstan: swimming, water polo, artistic swimming, diving and open water swimming.
It is a member of the continental Federation of Water Sports - Asia Aquatics and the World Federation - World Aquatics.
The partners of the Federation are the joint-stock company "Samruk-Kazyna" and the CF "Fund for the Support of the Tourism and Sports Industry".
Earlier, the Kazakhstan national curling team reached the playoffs of the World Championship for the first time in the history of the national team, taking place in Aberdeen, Scotland.
