Kazakhstan tennis professional Zarina Diyas won over her rival convincingly in the final round of the qualification tournament of the Malaysia Open, Vesti.kz reports. The first set was very successful for Zarina. She won a break point and put her rival, Japan’s Erika Sema in an awkward spot. Then Diays increased the lead to 5:0. However, Sema didn’t give up and won three games in a row. Kazakhstan’s tennis player didn’t allow her to advance any further and secured a victory in the first set. It started raining heavily right after the beginning of the second set and the match was suspended for five hours. The long break did good for Zarina and she gripped the lead as soon as the match was resumed. She won several games in a row and the score was 5:1 at her rival’s serve. But there was a nasty turn in the weather again and a heavy rain stopped the match for the second time. When the match was resumed in the morning of the next day, Diyas won the last game, after loosing two games to her rival. Tennis. WTA tournament. Malaysia Open. Kuala-Lumpur Qualification round. Zarina Diyas (Kazakhstan) – Erika Sema (Japan) – 6:3, 6:3
