Kazakhstan weight-lifter Zhazira Zhaparkul won the Junior World Weightlifting Championship that was held in Antigua, Guatemala, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing KazTAG. Zhaparkul, 69-kilogram weight league athlete, lifted 239 kilograms in total, including 106 kilograms in snatch and 133 kilograms in clean and jerk. One more Kazakhstan weight-lifter Karina Goricheva, 63 kilogram weight league athlete, won a bronze medal of the Championship. She managed to lift 225 kilograms in total: 100 kilograms in snatch and 125 kilograms in clean and jerk.
