In the doubles semifinal of the BMW Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur the wildcard pair of Galina Voskoboeva from Kazakhstan and Dinara Safina from Russia defeated the international pair of Shuko Aoyama from Japan and Chan Chin-wei from Taiwan. The Russian-Kazakh duo wrapped up the thrilling contest 7-5 and 6-4 to advance to the finals of the tournament,according to the tournament's website.
