Voskoboyeva from Kazakhstan in Malaysian Open final

In the doubles semifinal of the BMW Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur the wildcard pair of Galina Voskoboeva from Kazakhstan and Dinara Safina from Russia defeated the international pair of Shuko Aoyama from Japan and Chan Chin-wei from Taiwan. The Russian-Kazakh duo wrapped up the thrilling contest 7-5 and 6-4 to advance to the finals of the tournament,according to the tournament's website. It the finals they will face Thai-Aussie duo of Noppawan Lertcheewakarn and Jessica Moore. Galina Voskoboeva turned pro in 2002. During her career, she has won two ITF singles titles: in Mont-de-Marsan in 2003, and Cuneo in 2006. In 2008, she changed her nationality from Russian to Kazakhstani. BMW Group Malaysia is the title sponsor for the 2nd Malaysian Open of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tour named the BMW Malaysian Open 2011. There are 32 single players and 16 doubles teams competing in a knockout competition for their share of a $ 220 thousand prize purse.
