Vinokurov might preside over Kazakhstan Cycling Federation

Aleksandr Vinokurov might head the Kazakhstan Cycling Federation, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the Federation President Kairat Kelimbetov as saying at the press-conference timed to Astana cycling team participation in Giro d'Italia.“I would like to announce that after November 7 we are planning to hold a special conference of the Cycling Federation, where we will discuss election of its President. I will recommend Aleksandr Vinokurov as a candidate to this position,” he said. Kelimbetov noted that it is very important that Vinokurov is a successful cyclist.
